Our desire is for our kids to be disciples of Jesus that love God’s Word, prayer, and serving others.

DISCIPLE KIDS

Once you arrive there will be someone to help get your kids checked in! Children stay during the musical worship portion of our service and then head to their classrooms. You can learn more about our Sunday services by clicking here. We love having your kids in a class that’s designed to share God’s Word with them in an age appropriate and fun way. However, if your little one would like to stay with you in service they are also welcome to! After worship and a pastoral prayer, we guide children to the back of the sanctuary where their teacher (holding a sign for their classroom number) will greet them and lead them to their classrooms. This allows for parents to stay in the sanctuary during our fellowship break before the sermon.

  • Nursing Mother's Room

We provide a Nursing Mom's Room for your privacy that also has a live video feed of the worship service

  • Nursery (0-2)

Our Nursery is for ages 0-2 and includes playtime, biblical teachings of the Gospel and Jesus, as our Savior.

  • Pre-K (3-4)

Class 1 explores the Bible from creation to the early church—with lots of creative activities that reinforce the lessons and engage imaginations.

  • 1st-3rd Grade

Class 2 explores the life of Jesus through a study of his miracles and teachings. Our goal is that children will see Christ as they open the Scriptures on their own.

  • 4th-6th Grade

Class 3 explores the life of Jesus through Bible stories, teaching, and interactive discovery. They stay in service on the 4th and 5th Sundays of the month to grow spiritually from the sermon.

DISCIPLE KIDS CURRICULUM

At Garwood Church, we believe that Sunday school should go beyond moral lessons and behavior modification. Traditional teaching often isolates Bible stories, focusing on characters as mere examples of good or bad behavior. This approach misses the core message of salvation woven throughout the Bible.

To truly teach the Bible's story, we must present the Savior in every lesson. That's why we use The Gospel Project: Kids curriculum, a resource that aligns with this end in mind. From Genesis to Revelation, The Gospel Project reveals Jesus Christ as the central figure of the entire Bible, from the Revealer of the Father in the Old Testament to the Savior of His people in the New Testament.

Each lesson in The Gospel Project: Kids points children to Jesus, helping them understand and trust Him. This comprehensive approach ensures that children see the big picture of God's redemptive plan and grow in their faith in an age-appropriate and engaging way..
